Is your child’s 1st birthday approaching? Celebrate their big milestone in the most enjoyable way; book a Cake Smash!
During a Cake Smash, your baby will be sat in front of a delicious cake, and equipped with a wooden spoon. Then the fun ensues! The spontaneity of these sessions is what makes them so special; you never quite know how your little one will react, and their facial expressions of pure joy, surprise and delight make for the most epic photos.
So how does a Cake Smash session work? First off, I start with taking pictures without the cake, so that you also have some gorgeous, simple portrait photos of your baby. Then they will be presented with the cake and you’ll see their eyes light up, as the Cake Smash is set up like a small party just for them. After the smash, we do a ‘Splash’ with a small tin bath. This part usually gets huge smiles from the baby as they splash all the water out the bath and enjoy creating a little bit of chaos!
Ahead of the session, a beautiful cake will be specially made in the colours you choose, so that you don’t have to stress about getting something prepared. To help make sure we achieve the photos you’ve dreamed of, I will provide you with inspiration boards when booking, so that you can select your cake style and backdrop. This is also the stage to let me know if your child has any dietary requirements, as these can of course be catered for.
At the end of the session, there is often still a lot of cake that hasn't been touched/smashed, so I invite you to take it home to reduce food waste (and enjoy a sweet treat for yourself, of course.)
Cake Smash settings take place in my Studio in Worcester Park, KT4.

When should I book?
It's best to book around your child's 9-10 month milestone, as my cake smashes are extremely popular and I can only book a limited number each month!
How do I book?
Simply fill out the contact form on my website or drop me a message via Instagram or Facebook, and I’ll aim to get back to you within 2 working days.
What do I wear?
Cake smashes need two outfits: one smarter and one more casual and fun. A guide will be emailed to help you choose the best options.
What do I need?
Just you and your baby, plus a towel for after the ‘splash’ portion of the session!
How long does the session last and where is it held?
The session will last around 60 minutes and will be held in my studio in KT4 Worcester Park.
How many photos will we get from the session?
Normally between 50-70 images in your online viewing gallery. You get full printing rights with purchased images, and I can arrange professional prints.
How long does it take to receive the gallery?
It will take between 7-10 days for your final edits to be ready and uploaded to your private gallery. Busier seasons can take up to 14 days.
