Family
Capturing precious moments with those you love the most
Family is not just a word. Family is a feeling. There’s nothing quite like creating new memories with those you hold dearest, surrounded by love, joy and a sense of safety and belonging. These are the moments that make for the best, most natural images. Unfortunately, as a parent you may find yourself missing from family photos, as you’re usually the one behind the camera! This is why I absolutely love taking photos of families: it gives parents the opportunity to relax and hand over the reins. The result? Photos of the whole family that you'll treasure for years to come.
Treat yourself and your kids to a fun family day out
My family sessions have often been described as a little adventure. Using beautiful outdoor settings that are familiar and local to you, I will take you on a walk or create a game with the children to achieve very natural, relaxed and playful family photographs. Prepare for lots of laughter and shrieks of joy as your kids have a ball in front of the camera!

Photos that reflect your beautifully unique family
Each family photography session is fully bespoke and depends entirely on your family's personality, what you enjoy doing together and where you most like to be. Family photoshoots can take place in your favourite outdoor setting or private garden. You can also divide your time between home and outdoors, if you’d like a mixture of backdrops.
If you'd like some help choosing a location, I have a list of beautiful, quiet and seasonal spots that I've vetted and used for previous shoots. My outdoor shoots take place in Surrey and South West London, and I know of many stunning locations in Kingston, Kensington, Richmond, Banstead, Guildford, Woking, and more.
Already have somewhere special to you and your family? Please let me know when booking in and I’ll do my best to make it happen. Get in touch using the contact form and let the adventure begin!

Testimonials
Maddie did a family photo shoot for us. It was the first photo shoot we'd ever done and I really wanted someone who would capture candid and "real" shots. I didn't want anything that looked too posed so was really excited that Maddie does family shoots outside. She was brilliant, really friendly and made such an effort with my baby girl and got loads of smiles out of her. I love the photos that came out of the shoot and I'm really looking forward to getting some printed and up around the house.

Any questions?
How do I book a family photography session?
To book your family photoshoot, simply fill out the contact form with a few details and I’ll get back to you by email within 48 hours to arrange a date for your session.
What do I need to bring on the day?
I always recommend bringing water and some snacks to family photo sessions - this is especially important in the warmer months!
When should I book?
Anytime of year! As you know, the British weather can be unpredictable, so late April through to September tends to be the most popular period for a family photoshoot. Autumn is also a lovely time for family portraits, as the reds, oranges, and golds of the changing leaves make for a colourful and cosy backdrop!
What should we wear to a family photoshoot?
Family photoshoots are all about capturing your unique personalities, but I always advise clients to steer away from clashing colours and big logos if possible. Complementary colours will ensure your images have a timeless, elegant feel and keep the focus on your facial expressions. To help you choose your outfits, I've put together a handy Styling Guide which you'll receive when you're booked in. I also have a range of neutral outfits for little ones available to borrow as part of my client wardrobe.
How long does it take to receive the gallery?
I edit all of your images myself to ensure your final images are pixel perfect. It usually takes between 7-10 days for your final edits to be ready and uploaded to your private digital gallery, but in busier seasons it can take up to 14 days.
How long does a family photography session last and where is it held?
My outdoor family photoshoots usually last around 45 minutes and will be held on location in South West London or Surrey. All of the photoshoot locations I use have been vetted and chosen to create the most magical images. When you get in touch, we will discuss the various location options so that you can pick the perfect spot for your family!
How many photos will we get from the session?
You’ll usually receive between 50-70 images to choose from in your online viewing gallery. I try to give you as many as possible from the session so that you can pick your favourites. If you love them all so much you can’t decide (yes, it’s a common problem!), you can purchase the entire gallery for a fixed price of £200 - decision made!
Can we print the photos ourselves?
Yes, of course! You get full printing rights with any images that you purchase, but I can also arrange for your prints to be done professionally by my trusted list of suppliers (click here for a full list of printed products available).
